La Compte has completed and uploaded the repository for the Powershell conversion of the Linux Bash project “man with the skies”. For further information, or to download, use the options below.
La Compte is now providing services on Github with a focus on the provision of Linux scripts which will assist in working on Linux systems via the terminal, especially focusing on system administration and network administration tasks. Alongside these, La Compte is also uploading projects completed from our frameworks with a focus on supporting FOSS (Free and Open Source Software).

La Compte in collaboration with Reach to be Heard, Kaus-e-Kazah Welfare Organization and Network for Human and Social Development was actively involved in food ration distribution for the students (and their families) of Kaus-e-Kazah Welfare Organization School Maskeenabad. La Compte actively contributed to these endeavors as part of their ongoing collaboration with all four organizations.
La Compte is committed towards contributing to the people and for providing them an opportunity to be empowered with technical IT skills for sustainable livelihood.

La Compte in collaboration with Network for Human and Social Development was successful in training apprentices and helping them achieve the completion certificates (on basis of attendance) for Diploma in Information Technology.
As a part of the Diploma in Information Technology, the students were provided training that was completed for four certificate courses
- Website Design and Development
- Graphic Design
- Office Automation and Database Development
- Foundations of Linux and Principles of Virtualization for System Administration
In the duration whilst they were given technical training, these apprentices were also given practical experience regarding basic computer requirements (how to install operating systems, whether they be Windows or Linux, installing programs in Windows, troubleshooting computer functionality), through to advanced concepts (utilizing graphic design software to develop publishing solutions and animation options, virtualization principles and practice, open source software integration in workflow, Microsoft Access database development). The apprentices were provided technical training on computers free of cost, and further, they were given time for practicing theoretical concepts that were taught during the course of this whole process.
La Compte commends the collaborative spirit which defined this endeavor and ensured mutually aligned successful output indicators. We are grateful to NHSD for their endeavors to assist La Compte.
La Compte is committed to the Philosophy of Free and Open Source Software, and furthermore, is aligned with the Principles of Right to Repair. We hope that with this endeavor we are able to achieve further success in the future. These were successful towards ensuring that the institute would have facilities and resources that are available for all of our apprentices.
As part of our initiative towards integrating IT focused workflows into their lives and also provide them with an opportunity to build their potential for an IT based workflow environment. The trainings are being provided to schools such as Kaus-e-Kazah Welfare Organization Gulrez School of Inclusive Education and are focused on basic computers as well as Microsoft Word and Excel. These trainings will be a stepping stone that allows for the growth of these children in the field.
La Compte has recently taken an initiative towards migrating their computers to Linux distributions whereby these machines are accessible, efficiently maintained, and are providing opportunities for compatible growth to the students and apprentices alike, so that they can build upon the lessons they had learnt from Windows and utilize them with open source software. This is an opportunity to build upon these foundational principles and expand to assist the local communities and grow their potential for the better.
La Compte commends the work that Kaus-e-Kazah Welfare Organization is completing and undertaking for the assistance of their communities especially in utilizing an inclusive education model. We are proud to be included in strength as part of their endeavors.

La Compte in collaboration with Kaus-e-Kazah Welfare Organization, Reach to be Heard, Network for Human and Social Development, and Mod Consultancy, is one of the hosting partners of “Humanitarian Services Awards”. It will be held in Islamabad Hotel on February 11 2026.
This event will include exhibitions, conference and awards to highlight the achievements of corporations, NPOs, NGOs, Charities, and associated entities who will be able to also highlight their thematic areas, domains, and current outreach. The awards, after approval by selection committee, will then be distributed also to the recipients for their work completed.

La Compte is now successfully registered with Pakistan Freelancer Association (PAFLA), which will enable it to assist other freelancers in fields associated with consumer protection and associated support mechanisms.
With this membership, La Compte is committed in providing protections to freelancers and in ensuring that the wider freelancer community in Pakistan benefits whilst also being protected from elements which are likely to cause them substantial harm.
La Compte is grateful to PAFLA for their endeavors and looks forward to being an active member of the community.
La Compte in collaboration with Reach to be Heard and Network for Human and Social Development was represented during the opening ceremony for La Compte “Asbar Khan Lodhi IT Technical Training Center” on 3 December 2025 at the new La Compte location.
The event was attended by graduating apprentices, currently enrolled apprentices, members of the general public and representatives of Reach to be Heard, Network for Human and Social Development and La Compte. The chief guest was Madam Salma Khalid, former director at National Rural Support Programme (NRSP)
La Compte computer lab now contains 10 dedicated desktops and 10 dedicated laptops which have been setup and ready with the following courses:
- System Administration
- Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) and CompTIA Linux+ Certification
- Web Designing
- Information and Communication Technology
- Office Automation
- Graphic Designing
- Basic Computer Technology
The lab is composed of 10 Dell Optiplex 790 Small Form Factor Desktop Computers with core i3 machines and DDR3 RAM (Between 4GB and 12GB) including software for technical training in the related fields.
The 10 laptops currently on strength in La Compte are all integrated with Linux via Zorin OS 17.3 and 18, and have virtualization software for running Windows 10.
Through these efforts, La Compte has begun the process for providing sustainable livelihood opportunities to the community as well as ensuring that the long term sustainability of our endeavors bears fruit.
La Compte is committed to Free and Open Source Software and will slowly convert the Desktops towards Linux frameworks with integrated virtualization.
La Compte registered with Pakistan Software Export Bureau
La Compte has successfully registered with Pakistan Software Export Bureau (Registration Z-25-11315/24). They focus on database management, big data, and web designing. They also provide technical training in collaboration with their implementation partners. This includes web design, graphic design, diploma in information technology, basic computers, and freelancing.

La Compte has successfully registered with Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Pakistan (ICPAP) as their registered official tuition provider. As an implementation partner of ICPAP, La Compte has been given the mandate to tutor ICPAP enrolled students. They will provide guidance regarding the ICPAP modules. La Compte is allowed to adapt the instruction modalities. These adaptations reflect the ICPAP course modules and the requirements of the exam. Key details will assist the student to become effective certified public accountants.
