As part of our initiative towards integrating IT focused workflows into their lives and also provide them with an opportunity to build their potential for an IT based workflow environment. The trainings are being provided to schools such as Kaus-e-Kazah Welfare Organization Gulrez School of Inclusive Education and are focused on basic computers as well as Microsoft Word and Excel. These trainings will be a stepping stone that allows for the growth of these children in the field.
La Compte has recently taken an initiative towards migrating their computers to Linux distributions whereby these machines are accessible, efficiently maintained, and are providing opportunities for compatible growth to the students and apprentices alike, so that they can build upon the lessons they had learnt from Windows and utilize them with open source software. This is an opportunity to build upon these foundational principles and expand to assist the local communities and grow their potential for the better.
